Hello,
Bobby here, just dropping in to say thank you to my wonderful family for coming to visit and celebrate my first Christmas ever! Thank you all for your wonderful gifts: mommy and daddy will be putting my onesies to good use, the gift cards to babies R us, and I can't wait to chew on those keys! But most of all I want to thank you just for coming, for holding me and feeding me, and for making me smile.
Mommy, daddy and me in the same picture, sweet! Thanks Caria!
I really liked your cool hats, Caria and Pee Paw.
I liked listening to you all at dinner and hope you enjoyed the food there. I really liked the lobster roll place too but mommy's milk tasted bitter and sour after that so I don't know if we'll be going back there again. Daddy liked the lobster roll and Gi-chan said "soup very good" when you tried the soup mommy brought home - thank you Grandma!
After we saw you we went to visit my great-grandmother and I got to meet my cousins. They all liked grandma's snowballs and fudge.
This is 4 generations Ochi (well technically not Ochi, I forgot what my grandmother's maiden name was).
As always, you can view and download all my pictures here.
Love,
Bobby
Dear Grandma & Grandpa,
Thank you for visiting me today! I loved the way you held me and took me for a nice walk. I liked the pizza too. Or at least the way it smelled. My mommy and daddy said that it's a good thing Togo's is closed, because that pizza was way better than those sandwiches would have been.
Here's a few pictures from daddy. Grandma: chillax. If you're reading this message, you're reading what we newborns call a "blog". You can view originals of all my photos here.
Next time can I please take pictures with you and Grandpa together? It would mean a lot to me someday.
Oh, and Tora said you can visit anytime and that he promises not to bite... too hard.
Love,
Bobby
Henry (Marie and Alan's son) and his wife Erica stopped by during their visit from England and asked that we take a few photos of their son, Ronan. Ronan is 8 months old. Here's a few photos from our shoot with him:

A few days later we celebrated Ji-chan's 95th birthday. He's still going strong and says he'll live another 15 years. And he just might: his sister is 101 years old so long life definitely runs in the family. Amazing when you consider he was a smoker and heavy drinker for years. His secret, as far as I can tell, is that he exercises every day through gardening, doesn't over-eat, and seems to handle stress well.

Hi There,
On Saturday, May 31, we met up with members of the local Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Northern California for a hike through McNee Ranch State Park. The trail starts just north of Half Moon Bay, and ends at a summit which overlooks both sides of the peninsula from Half Moon Bay to the Golden Gate Bridge. Temperatures ranged from what felt like 50's in the morning, to 80's in the afternoon. I couldn't imagine hiking up that mountain in the heat so the lower temperatures in the a.m. were welcome. Total time/distance: 5 hours/8 miles.
It was quite a hike and Anna and I were pretty exhausted by the time we were done, but we made one last stop for a late lunch at a place called Sam's Chowder House. With close to a hundred cars packed in the lot, and more alongside the road, this is the place to get seafood in Half Moon Bay and is renowned for their chowder of course, but it is their lobster roll which is to die for. At $22 it's not cheap, but the flavor and consistency make it hands down the best lobster roll I've ever had. Highly recommend this place if you ever pass through Half Moon Bay.
Well, Dad, while it probably wasn't the best idea hike this particular trail after such a long hiatus, I must say it was a nice hike and I'm glad we did it. Hopefully it helped loosen up your joints a little bit. I didn't quite get the pictures of Sara and you that I wanted to so more reason to go back up there next time I visit.
Love,
Son
I'm not sure how long it's been since the last trip home, but it seems like a long time. Had fun berry-picking, swimming with Sara in the pool, and of course just hanging out with you guys.
I didn't take as many pictures as I had planned, but that's okay, I'm sure I'll get plenty once we move back.
Dad sure does love those berries
The last day of the trip, we took some pictures of Maureen and Audrey at their house. I think they wanted a couple headshots for their auditioning portfolios. When we showed up they were basically just hanging out and hadn't had their hair or makeup done, but overall I thought they came out okay. If nothing else I think their parents might like them. I hope so anyway.
